Marvel released a new TV Spot for their upcoming film Black Panther during the College Football National Championship tonight. The spot followed Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime performance in which he played a track of the film’s soundtrack titled “All The Stars” featuring SZA. As an interesting tidbit, the rapper will not just provide original music but he will be curating the soundtrack for the film.
Check out the TV Spot below as well as Kendrick Lamar’s music video for the song.
Black Panther is being directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed) and its all star cast consists of Chadwick Boseman as King T’Challa, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead), Angela Bassett, Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out), Forest Whitaker, Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis. It hits theaters February 16, 2018.
After the events of Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader. However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from fractions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakandan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.
